Tomorrow we travel to Rush Mills House, Old Bedford Road, Northampton, to face Northampton Casuals, who currently sit in fourth place, one place and one point above Stockwood Park. The two clubs have met 21 times, with Stockwood Park having won 14 of those encounters, Casuals having won 6, and there has been one draw. We last met in February 2023, at London Road, with the home side running out 38-17 winners – tries were scored by Jordan Fadjou, Rob Jack, Kyran Ryan, Sean McIntyre, Michael Powell and Will Standring; Angus Buckman added four conversions. We last met at Rush Mills on 24th September 2022, on my 64th birthday, when Stockwood Park won 24-17.
The first ever meeting between the two clubs was 25 years ago on 9th September 2000, when Casuals won at home by 20-8 in the Intermediate Cup.
