On Saturday 13th December we face eleventh-placed Huntingdon at Huntingdon Racecourse. Huntingdon have experienced a difficult season to date, having lost a number of first-choice backs due to injuries retirements and relocations since the end of last season. Whilst their pack will put up a good fight, we should be looking to a comfortable win providing we are able to lift our game to the levels we have shown in recent weeks. Last weekend they lost 55-10 away at Northampton Casuals, having been in contention for most of the match, before the Casuals backs cut loose. Stockwood Park are eight places and twenty-seven points ahead of them, after beating Old Laurentians last Saturday .
The clubs first met in February 1995, when Stockwood Park beat the home side 11-0 in the East Midlands Cup. In our seventeen matches to date, Stockwood Park has won eight times and Huntingdon nine. The last time that we met, in March 2022, Stockwood Park won 36-0 at The Racecourse, completing the double in our promotion season.
