A last minute penalty saw Stockwood Park return from their trip to St Ives with only a losing bonus point. Park took an early lead with a penalty from centre Nick Dundee who went on to score 16 of Park’s 21 points. St Ives scored to take the lead but an outstanding try by Oliver Daly saw Park regain the lead. The home side hit back and at half time Park trailed 19-8.
Park turned round and immediately their pressure paid off with a Dundee penalty. The centre then finished off a flowing move instigated by captain Frank Daly and converted his own try ro put Park within a point. Further pressure with Sean Martyn and Keiran Taylor prominent saw Park take back the lead with another Dundee penalty, only to be thwarted in the final minute.
Park’s next fixture is entertaining Leighton Buzzard at London Road on Saturday 21st of March at 2pm. The match will follow the annual Vice Presidents Lunch.
