Stockwood Park kick started their 2025-26 Midland Counties League programme with an encouraging victory away at Brackley by 22 points to 19. The victory was hard earned and well deserved, as Park, who were well served by a number of selection changes caused by unavailability, saw their first try scored by Club Coach Tom Edmunds and their third try scored by veteran winger Jason Mitchell.

In the backs Centres Nick Dundee and man of the match Sean Martyn were a constant threat to the home side.
After 10 minutes Park were 7-0 down before Coach Tom Edmunds burst clear off a maul to score to make it 7-5. Brackley then scored 2 more trys either side of halftime to take their lead to 19-5. Urged on by Skipper Frank Daly, Park’s pressure eventually told as first lock forward Michael Keady- Wallis and then finally Winger Jason Mitchell scored the important tries. Both tries were converted by Centre Nick Dundee who also added a crucial well struck penalty to give Park a victory eventually secured following a fine team performance.
