It’s a wrap!

We certainly hope it is and that you have indeed finished wrapping those pressies for Santa’s visit on the 25th.

As far as rugby goes that’s it for this year for most of our squads! The senior mens team return to practice on Tuesday 2nd January and the Ladies on Thursday 4th January.

The 1XV and 2XV face Dunstable away on Saturday the 6th January with the 3XV at home against Buzzard on the same day. The next game for our Ladies is Sunday 14 January at home against Hitchin.

A mixed U17 and Colts side have a game under floodlights on Friday evening 29th December over at Leighton Buzzard with the U17s next game after that being Sunday 7th January away at Old Albanians.

The Colts leaps into action in their next league encounter on Sunday 14th January away at Oxford Harlequins. The U16 red and yellow squads face Old Albanians and Brackley respectively, both being away games on Sunday the 14th as well. The Minis section next practice session is Sunday 7th January.

With the 1XV sitting just below mid table and the 2xv continuing with more wins than losses the senior means teams look well placed for a good start in 2018. The Ladies are going from strength to strength and would look forward to some good games in 2018.

The Mini and Youth continues to grow from strength to strength with newly formed teams grabbing the headlines with some good results.

The social side in the Seniors and Mini and Youth has also gone from strength to strength and closed the year with successful Xmas parties for both sections……not withstanding the grumpy elves.

The U16s took a social trip up the motorway last weekend to close their year to watch Wasps triumph over La Rochelle.    With the team parents organising that some of the boys did microphone duty pitch side for BT sport with the rest of the boys doing banner and flag duty in the pre-match festivities it was an outing enjoyed by all.

The club would like to thank all players, coaching staff, volunteers, members and families for their efforts and contributions so far this season and a Merry Christmas and good break over the festive period.

Join us for a final drink at the club for the year on Thursday evening.   The clubhouse will be open along with the bar for the evening.
